After spawning, The Midnight Motorist will begin driving around towards players. The Midnight Motorist cannot be stunned unless using a Banana or Subspace Tripmine, which will cause him to spin out.

The Midnight Motorist drives around at an above average speed, playing music that can be heard nearby him. The Midnight Motorist will deal enough to instantly kill players upon contact with it; driving over them with his car. If the Midnight Motorist has a player in sight, he can rev up and swivel to aim towards them, then drive at an insanely high speed in their direction. This will cause him to continue charging until he rams into a wall, resulting in a small explosion, dealing enough to instantly kill players hit and slowing & bumping players nearby. The Midnight Motorist cannot be stunned while charging like this.

• The music The Midnight Motorist plays is called “240 Bits Per Mile” and originates from the Midnight Motorist minigame. This also is pitched up when using the charge ability.
• The Midnight Motorist also takes inspiration from Deluxe Rayios and Chester Bernadanes from Midnight Horrors.
• Dev Arc’s summoned by Dev Phone are capable of stunning The Midnight Motorist with their beams.
• The Midnight Motorist is capable of passing through other terrors.
• If for whatever reason, The Midnight Motorist attempts to charge out of bounds, he will begin driving through walls to the thorn in Robland.
• The Midnight Motorist originates from Pizzeria, where he is seen on the many posters. He is the human mentioned in Pizzeria’s index entry as being the lone human who feeds the Pizzeria.
• He is also responsible for the state of Mousetrap.
• The Midnight Motorist has a rare chance to appear as Asgore with the car being replaced with a red truck. This also changes the music emitted by Midnight Motorist. This is a reference to the Deltarune theory/meme that Asgore ran over Dess with a truck. This variation was also originally intended to be its own terror entirely.
