Terror Info

After spawning, The Aperture will appear at the central Robland thorn. Additionally, multiple additional entities will spawn; the Influence, the Knight, the Gravetender, the Gate, and the Observer. All enemies except the Knight cannot be stunned but can be clashed, while the Knight can be stunned, which also knocks players back.

Getting hit by any of The Aperture or its minions attacks will activate The Influence. Only direct damage activates this, so aura damage will not trigger it.

The Influence

Text will appear onscreen flashing “DO NOT LOOK, RESIST THE INFLUENCE” and a hexagon will appear on the screen and a sun-like object will follow it. The dot will follow the player's view, while the eye will attempt to follow. When the sun is over top of the hexagon, the player will begin losing HP rapidly. Players need to shake their heads to avoid dying. This lasts for around 8 seconds. Additionally, there is a 10 second grace period after resisting once. The Influence is considered a disruption.

The Aperture

Deals rapid damage to players nearby itself. It has a few main abilities it will use upon players globally, similar to Paraselene or Seventh Seal. The Aperture attacks around every 7 seconds.

  • Decay - Being near The Aperture will rapidly drain HP depending on distance.
  • Brimstone Circles - Large magic circles appear around random players, dealing low damage rapidly and inflicting Brimstone Burn, and are also capable of bypassing protection. These linger for around 75 seconds. Getting hit will inflict The Influence.
  • Roots - Large roots will sprout from the ground around random players, dealing moderate damage and knocking players back. Afterwards, they will fall in a direction; specifically the one the player was facing at the time of creation, dealing heavy damage to players in the path. Getting hit will inflict The Influence.

The Knight

The main threat of Aperture. It will chase players at a high speed. If the Knight is too far from any players, it can teleport to a new position, creating an AoE where it lands. The Knight can also do this as an attack, teleporting above players. The Knight has a small variety of abilities.

  • Red Slashes - The Knight slows and will slash multiple times, dealing moderate damage. This can either be in a set of two or four.
  • Wide Slash - The Knight slows and does a wide slash, creating a small explosion in front of it sending sparks forward. This causes rapid low damage.
  • Slam - The Knight teleports above the player and slams down, dealing moderate damage and bumping players.
  • Bone Shards - The Knight points their sword forward then fans their wing, sending several bone shard-esk beams out in front of it dealing burn and moderate damage for each, typically dealing very high amounts of damage.

The Gravetender

Will warp onto players positions, crawling out of the ground shortly. Once it has emerged, it will remain still. If its target is too far from it, it will dig down and warp to them again. The Gravetender has a small variety of attacks.

  • Dig - When coming up from a warp, the Gravetender will push any players back that are on top of it, dealing low damage.
  • Decay - Being near The Gravetender will rapidly drain HP depending on distance.
  • Double Claw - The Gravetender will swipe twice with three claws each, creating massive slashes with a very slight delay at the target player's position, dealing moderate damage and inflicting “Mark of Death”, while also slowing the player down.
  • Claw Barrage - The Gravetender will swipe 6 times in quick succession, creating claw slashes with slight delays at the player targets position, dealing low damage and inflicting “Mark of Death” while also slowing the player down.
  • Scream - Slows all players nearby and inflicts Mark of Death.

The Gater

Will chase players at a high speed, scuttling along. If there are no players nearby, it can leap high across the map to players. The Gate has a few abilities it can do.

  • Kicking - While scuttling, The Gate will knock players back, dealing low damage on contact.
  • Unstable Array - Occasionally, if The Gate is near a player, it will pulse and create a massive array of orbs around its target. Shortly after, the orbs will explode, inflicting heavy damage, slowing players, and inflicting Volatile.
  • Leap - If no players are nearby, it will jump high instead, landing near a new player. The Gate will knock away players it lands near.
  • Void Suck - The Gate stops and creates a small black hole on itself. Players nearby will have their vision forced into its direction and be slowly sucked in. Getting too close will deal enough to instantly kill the player, bypassing protection, and being close will cause players to have their health drained. Afterwards, it fires the black hole as a projectile out forward, where it will continue sucking stuff. The projectile lasts roughly 20 seconds and travels through most of the map. The black hole’s sucking does not activate The Influence.

The Observer

Chases players at an above average speed. It is the simplest of The Aperture’s minions and has two main attacks.

  • Stomp - The Observer stomps the ground; sending players back and dealing moderate damage.
  • Beam - This attack requires line of sight. The Observer charges its eye and fires a massive laser towards their target; dealing rapid moderate damage and inflicting brimstone burn. It is highly recommended to get behind The Observer when it uses this attack, as The Observer is capable of aiming at players in front of itself mid-attack. This beam will additionally cut through a large portion of the map.
