Terror Info
Upon spawning in, Gubby will begin walking towards players slowly. Gubby cannot be stunned and is also immune to paralysis, but can be clashed.
Gubby will deal enough to instantly kill any players touching it while it walks, bypassing protection. Gubby is also capable of teleporting. This behavior isn’t typically seen however, as instantly, all players will be placed into Gubby’s Hell Box™ and must survive it once to actually see Gubby.
After being active for around 30 seconds, Gubby will stop and let out a scream and change the music, adding a very intense and obnoxious post processing effect to players screens. After this, Gubby will gain a massive aura and begin passively firing out bullets rapidly in random directions. Gubby has two types of bullets it can fire out;
- Fodder Bullet - A purely white projectile that deals moderate damage and inflicts slowness to players hit by it.
- Explosive Bullet - A much larger black and white projectile that will release a massive explosion after it has travelled far enough, dealing heavy damage to players hit by it and slowing them. When exploding, it will deal enough to instantly kill players hit by it and deal massive damage to players within range of its explosion, slowing them as well.
After enraging, Gubby will begin sprinting at very high speeds towards players; speeding up further when spotting a player. Gubby has a couple attacks it can do.
- Slash Combo - When Gubby is close enough to a target, they will stop and slash their sword twice, creating massive particle waves that deal heavy damage to players hit by it and inflict heavy slowness to them. After this, they will stab the ground creating a massive AoE around them with the same effects, as well as firing 8 Explosive Bullets out from themselves. If a player is next to Gubby when this is used, it will deal enough to instantly kill them and bypass protection.
- Spin - Gubby may also stop and begin spinning towards players at a speed slower than their normal chase speed, firing a huge amount of Fodder Bullets out from themselves while dealing rapid heavy damage to all players in the area. If a player is next to Gubby when this is used, it will deal enough to instantly kill them and bypass protection.
- Line Barrage - Gubby may stop and slam down with his sword, causing a very large amount of line indicators similar to that of Seventh Seal’s in a diagonal pattern in front of it. They detonate shortly after, dealing heavy damage.
- Bullet Barrage - While chasing, Gubby can fire out 5 Explosive Bullets in front of themselves alongside a small burst of Fodder bullets that go in random directions.
- Charge - While chasing, Gubby can charge an insane speed towards their target turning into a bright white light, dealing enough to instantly kill any players and bypassing protection that they come across. This also launches a very large amount of Fodder bullets in random directions.
After attacking, it also has a chance to teleport immediately to a new position around their target. Passively, Gubby will also do the following:
- White Crosses - Every 15 seconds, Gubby will create one of Seventh Seal’s white crosses on its position; which will then pulse.
- White Lines - Between using White Crosses, Gubby will create two lines in the ground under players similar to that of Seventh Seal’s red lines that will detonate shortly after, dealing heavy damage.
- Gubby - Seven massive orbs will appear at Gubby’s location when it transforms. These orbs act very similar to Joy, however, do not have the missile barrage and cannot use lasers; and are also significantly smaller and become active almost as soon as they appear. Gubby Orbs also cannot bypass protection; and only deal 100 damage on contact vs Joy’s 9000 damage. They also have their own unique sounds and leave after images as they move.
Every 75 seconds, Gubby will stop and then begin a ‘bullet hell’ phase; briefly blinding players and warping all players into Gubby’s Hell Box. Gubby will both freeze and tase every terror for the duration of the attack. This also applies Fear to players for the duration of the attack as well and prevents immunity from being gained as well. Additionally, Gubby Orbs will stop moving; frozen in whatever state they were in when the attack began.
When players arrive in the cube, it will turn from white to red, and attacks will begin. Lines will begin appearing in the flow which will then explode. Getting hit by any attack in this phase will deal enough to instantly kill players, bypassing protection. The following patterns will happen:
- Lines 1 - A series of lines will appear from the left side of the room to the right and burst one by one.
- Lines 2 - A series of lines will appear from the front side of the room to the back and burst one by one.
- Diagonal Lines 1 - A series of lines will appear from the front right corner to the back left corner and burst one by one.
- Diagonal Lines 2 - A series of lines will appear from the back right corner to the front left corner and burst one by one.
- Cross Lines 1 - A series of lines will appear and safe spots will appear in between them. Worth noting, this line set will NOT be offset from the previous, intended to catch players off guard.
- Cross Lines 2 - A series of lines will appear offset from the first, aiming at the safe spot from the previous and new safe spots will appear in between them.
- Edge Lines - Large lines will appear near the edges forcing players into the middle. This attack happens very quickly and will kill generally players on the edges due to not having enough time to make it to the middle, so it’s highly suggested to stay near the middle.
- Spinner - Lines will appear down the middle and begin forcing players to run around the box while the lines explode behind them. Players will have to do two loops. The room will then power down after this.
After this attack, the player will be briefly blinded once more and freed, warped to a random location on the map and all terrors will be unfrozen.
Trivia
- Gubby is based on Gubby, a Roblox model by Anonim.
- Gubby is also based off a joke video made about Forsaken in reference to Gubby being added to the game as a very detailed dev-exclusive killer.
- Gubby as it appears in BR is based off one of Beyond’s roblox avatars.
- Gubby is a stand-in for Glorbo Prime, a removed joke terror.
- Similarly to Glorbo Prime, Gubby is based off Poopy21112. Additionally, Gubby Orbs are based off Torment, an enemy spawned during Poopy21112.
- Gubby is unable to appear as an Elite as it manually sets itself as one when spawning; identified as the “Chosen One”.
- Gubby is able to see through walls, and also can pass through other terrors freely.
- It is possible to escape the bullet hell phase if a teleporting item is activated by being used prior to Fear being applied, dying with Trickster, or by dying with Maxwell. Players will still be warped again when the attack ends regardless.
- Because the bullet hell phase is always the same, it can be learned to make it much easier to survive.
- While the bullet hell phase is active, players can only take damage from Gubby’s attacks, meaning terrors like Lord’s Signal or Syzygy will not affect players. This also includes some effects, such as Rapture Baldi’s slowdown. Visually however, these will still appear, obstructing vision.
- God’s Scam’s popup will not happen if Gubby’s bullet hell phase is active. This also causes God’s Scam’s visual effects not to appear.
- The bullet hell phase will disable the spawning or creation of any attacks that directly target players, such as Time Ripper or Seventh Seal. There are a few exceptions however.
- Some terrors are able to make it to the bullet hell phase room, such as God’s Scam or Interloper. However, they will be unable to harm players as players can only be killed by attacks from the bullet hell room.
- Players will still be hacked by John Doe while in the bullet hell room.
- The bullet hell attacks cannot be evaded by Luck.
- The first bullet hell phase will always be in time with the music’s phase transition.
- The speed Host Idol makes the bullet hell phase much easier.
- Gubby’s sounds are the same sounds as Jeff The Kill except slowed down significantly.
- The name “gubby” can be seen above Gubby’s head.
